What is ATMAT?

The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy® (ATMAT), are founded on the ancient Maya techniques of non-invasive, external abdominal massage.  Using only the hands to reposition reproductive and abdominal organs, Arvigo® Therapy gently guides organs back into their optimal position.  This stimulates circulation and blood flow within the abdominal and reproductive area, supporting the body for optimal function of digestive and reproductive health and wellness.

The techniques effectively alleviate tissue congestion and organ constriction to improve the vital flow of energy, blood, lymph and nerves in the abdomen.  They also address and release emotional and energetic tension held within the abdomen and womb.  This assists to prevent the progression of chronic disease while improving the body’s natural ability to be self-regulating, self-healing, and self-regenerating

- AKA homeostasis.

Throughout history, healers in Central America have known about and practiced these techniques for thousands of years in village huts and healing temples.  The Arvigo® Techniques represent an unbroken chain of knowledge handed down from generation to generation of midwives, healers and shamans.

Oftentimes for women, the uterus can become malpositioned in the pelvic bowl.  This in turn leads to a wide variety of problems such as PMS, painful menstruation, irregular cycles, infertility, hormonal imbalances, repeated miscarriages and more.

Through utilizing Arvigo® Therapy we will help to invite your uterus back into optimal position, allowing your body to come into a place of homeostasis, reconnecting you to your core and optimizing your well-being as a woman.
